What is "Art for MOTHER OCEAN"?

"Art for MOTHER OCEAN" is an initiative aimed at fostering our deeper connection with the ocean, integrating elements of science, art, and spirituality.
Fishers, scientists, artists, and others who care deeply about the ocean come together to express a collective artwork representing the ocean, and through immersive art experiences, spark dialogue about the unknown of the ocean and explored what the ocean means to us.

The following video is the archive of the first Art for MOTHER OCEAN project carried out in Hayama Town, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Painting with sand
Listened to the voice of the ocean and painted the sea as felt within.
Painting one picture with many people
Collaboratively captured the essence of the seas.
By individuals
Immersive oceanic art experience
Hearing the scientific point of view
A dialogue began at the intersection of art, science, and spirituality.
